WeClick ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service at weclick.chat. By using WeClick, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly:
- Email address (for account registration)
- Display alias (nickname) and avatar
- Date of birth (used for age verification only — not displayed publicly)
- Gender (displayed as an icon to match preferences)
- Interests and topics
- Match preferences (gender preference, age range, country)
- Profile photo (if uploaded voluntarily)
2.2 Information collected automatically:
- IP address and approximate location (collected by Firebase infrastructure)
- Device type and browser information
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent (Google Analytics)
- Chat activity metadata: number of chats, duration, reputation score
2.3 Chat messages:
Chat messages are transmitted and temporarily stored in our real-time database (Firebase Realtime Database) solely to enable real-time communication. Messages are deleted automatically when a chat session ends. We do not permanently store chat content.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the WeClick service
- To verify your age and eligibility (18+)
- To match you with other users based on shared interests and preferences
- To display your pseudonymous profile to other users
- To send email verification and account-related notifications
- To detect and prevent abuse, harassment, and violations of our Terms
- To improve the service through analytics
- To process Premium subscription payments (via Paddle)
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:
4.1 With other users (limited):
Your alias, avatar, gender icon, age range, interests, reputation score, and badges are visible to other users. Your real name, email, exact age, and date of birth are never shared publicly.
4.2 With service providers:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, storage infrastructure
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics
- Paddle — payment processing for Premium subscriptions (Merchant of Record)
- Netlify / Hostinger — hosting and domain services
These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
4.3 Legal requirements:
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
- Chat messages — deleted immediately when a session ends
- Account data — retained as long as your account is active
- Profile visits & notifications — retained for 90 days
- Reports — retained for 12 months for safety purposes
- Payment records — retained as required by law (typically 7 years)
When you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & Israeli Privacy Law)
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate personal data
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and data
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to certain processing activities
- Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent at any time

7. Cookies and Tracking
WeClick uses the following tracking technologies:
- Firebase Auth cookies — essential for keeping you logged in
- localStorage / sessionStorage — storing preferences locally on your device (never sent to servers)
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage tracking. You can opt out via browser extensions
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for advertising purposes.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
9. Children's Privacy
WeClick is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete associated data. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us at safety@weclick.chat.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States (Firebase/Google infrastructure). By using WeClick, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
